WMP 10 does Recorded TV

September 16, 2004 Leave a comment Go to comments

Did you notice a new Recorded TV section in Windows Media Player 10?  This is a cool new feature that allows you to sort through the Recorded TV that you’ve recorded with Windows XP Media Center Edition.

The Recorded TV list uses metadata from the TV Guide to categorize your TV programs in much the same way as you could your music collection.  Programs can be accessed by Series, Genre, Date Recorded, Actor, and Ratings.

Be sure to add your Recorded TV folder as one of the Monitored Folders in Windows Media Player to enable this functionality (Tools… Options… Library… Monitor Folders).
